Who we are

Forgetthetools runs forgetthetools.com, a growth research service for Shopify and DTC founders. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to [email protected].

What we collect

When you ask for a report, we collect your email, your store link and anything you write in the note. We also log the page you sent it from, your IP address, country, browser and the referring page, so we can stop spam and see which pages help founders.

When you email us, we keep the emails so we can answer and do the work.

If you subscribe, your payment is handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

What we use it for

To research your store and competitors, prepare your reports and send them to you. To reply to your messages. To keep the site secure and working. We research public information about your store and rivals. We never ask for your logins.

What we never do

We don't sell your data. We don't share your reports or your store details with other customers. We don't use advertising trackers on this site.

Who helps us run it

Cloudflare delivers the site, protects it from abuse and forwards our email. Our servers are in the EU (Belgium). Email providers deliver the messages we send you. Each of them processes data only to provide their service to us.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while we work with you and for up to 24 months after our last contact, then delete them. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will act on it promptly. If you are in the EU or UK you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Cookies

We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell people from bots.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we update this page and the date at the top.
